Republic Day at the VIVE Institute

From June 2 to 4, evening openings at the Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia are available until 10.30 pm, with guided tours and activities for families

From June 2 to 4, the VIVE Institute celebrates Republic Day with the extended opening hours throughout the weekend, also in the evening. The evening openings will take place from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm (with last possible entry by 9:30 pm): on  June 2 to 4 at the Vittoriano and on June 3, at Palazzo Venezia. On this occasion, the Institute offers a rich program of guided tours and animated visits, to let children and adults explore all the wonders of the monuments.

Among the visiting experiences available to the public of all ages there are tours: “the Vittoriano: symbols and meanings of the national monument of the Italians” and “the Deposits of Palazzo Venezia”, a tour to the most secret part of the museum, a real "treasure" to be discovered. A new guided tour is added to these activities: “An evening at the Palace. Seven visits for seven themes”, a kaleidoscope of short visits to offer a view on the many faces of Palazzo Venezia, its complex history, the events and people who have animated the palace over its six centuries of history.

There will also be many activities for families with children aged 5 to 12, available for free with the entrance ticket: “the Vittoriano tricolor”, an unusual path through the terraces of the Vittoriano to discover the stories kept in the rooms of the Central Museum of the Risorgimento and to get to know the monument that celebrates not only Italy united, but, above all, the ideals and values of the Italian Republic. Furthermore, on June 3, families will be able to take part in the animated visit “Stories at Palazzo Venezia” to retrace, in an original way, the many stories of the people who over the centuries have animated the gardens, halls and arcades of the historic residence of Piazza Venezia.

Reservations are recommended.

All the details on the individual appointments are available on the “Exhibitions and Events” page.
