VIVE, an institute of significant interest of the Ministry of Culture, is located in Piazza Venezia, in the heart of Rome, and comprises the Monument to Victor Emmanuel II, also known as the Vittoriano or Altare della Patria, including the Panoramic Terrace, the Central Museum of the Risorgimento and the Imperial Fora Wing, as well as Palazzo Venezia and its collections. VIVE, a symbol of the Republic and its constitutional values, safeguards and enhances its architecture, decorative schemes and collections through research and study, while promoting public access within a modern approach to active, democratic and European citizenship education.

The educational programme places the encounter with cultural heritage at its centre, encouraging both personal and collective interpretation. The VIVE education team offers learning experiences for every age and all school groups, enabling students to discover the origins of Italian institutions and art, learn about major figures of the past from the Renaissance to the Risorgimento, and immerse themselves in a context that reflects the culture, society and language of a nation in constant transformation.

For the 2026/2027 school year, VIVE offers schools of all levels guided tours, interactive tours, workshops, sensory and accessible activities, and PCTO – Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation.

VIVE educational activities are designed to complement and deepen school curricula through an interdisciplinary approach; content is adapted to participants’ ages to provide a rewarding and educational experience.

Preschool (ages 3-5)
