How does the ticket work?

This is a combined ticket, valid for seven days from the date of purchase. It allows you to see the Panoramic Terrace, the Central Museum of the Risorgimento and the National Museum of Palazzo di Venezia.

 

Where do I buy the ticket?

You can purchase admission tickets at the Vittoriano ticket office or online, via this web page. You can pay by credit or debit/ATM card.

 

How do I know if I am entitled to a free ticket?

Who is entitled to a discount?

Young adults between 18 and 25 years old. Click here to learn more.

 

Are there any parts of the Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia that can be visited for free?

Yes, all the Vittoriano (with the exception of the Panoramic Terrace and the Central Museum of the Risorgimento), and the Main Garden of Palazzo Venezia can be visited for free.

Every day from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm (last entry at 6:45 pm)

What about special opening hours?

From July, the Vittoriano, including the Panoramic Terrace, will extend its opening hours from 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm, with last admission at 9.45 pm. On the last Friday of the month, Palazzo Venezia will also observe the same extraordinary opening hours.

 

On 22 and 29 July, 14 August, 2, 9, 16, 23 and 24 September from 7.30 p.m., for families with children from 5 to 12 years old, the appointment with VIVE under the stars returns: the special program of theatrical tours and exploratory walks included in the entrance ticket, among the wonders and secrets of the monuments of the VIVE Institute.

 

On 29 July, from 7.30 p.m., it will also be possible to take part in the guided tour An evening at the palace. Seven visits for seven topics, a series of short guided tours of Palazzo Venezia.

Does VIVE join the "Sunday at the Museum" initiative? 

Yes, every first Sunday of the month access is free with no charge ticket valid on the same day of purchase. For more details you can consult the dedicated website https://cultura.gov.it/domenicalmuseo.

 

What are the rules to follow at VIVE?

The Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia, renowned for their art and architecture, preserve some of the most sacred memories of the Italian people.
Please dress and behave in a way that demonstrates the proper level of respect and decorum. In particular, we ask you:
•    To be considerate of others
•    Not to touch the works on display and not to go beyond the barriers
•    To consume food and drinks only in the Cafeteria-Restaurant
•    Not to smoke in any part of the museum
•    Not to photograph the exhibits when a sign expressly forbids it
•    To only use the seats that have been made available for use by the public: our security and reception assistants can help you find the closest seating area. 

Can I photograph the works?

Within our sites it is possible to take amateur photos and videos for personal or research purposes, without using flashes, stands, tripods or selfie sticks.

How can I purchase a reproduction of a work?

Of course, but you will need to obtain an authorisation and pay a fee.

Can I intern at the Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia?

VIVE can host students for academic internships as required by Ministerial Decree no. 142 dated 1998, as amended. To do this, however, VIVE must first enter into an agreement with your university or educational institution. 
You can send your curriculum vitae, indicating your subject area of interest and availability to: vi-ve@cultura.gov.it

 

Can I submit a job application?

VIVE is a public museum and therefore hiring only takes place through public competitions, organised by the central ministry.

How do I access the Archaeology and History of Art Library?

Free entrance.
You must be 19 years old: if you go to university, 18 is enough.
In order to enter, you must wear a face mask covering your nose and mouth for the entire duration of you visit.
