Republic Day - Friday, June 2 Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia free admission and open to the public from 2 p.m.

On Friday, June 2, President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, together with representatives of state institutions, will kick off the celebrations for Italian Republic Day by laying a laurel wreath at the Altar of the Fatherland. The tribute at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier will be followed by the traditional military parade in Via dei Fori Imperiali and the performance of the Frecce Tricolori.

On this particular occasion, to allow the celebrations to take place and for reasons of public order and safety related to the event, the Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia will open to the public from 2 p.m.

On the occasion of the Republic Day, VIVE adheres to the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano, which provides for the first time in republican history that museums and archaeological parks have free admission.

At 5:30 p.m. our educational team has organized a special animated visit to the Vittoriano to discover the monument that celebrates not only united Italy but also the ideals and values of Republican Italy.
