On May 1, the “first Sunday of the month with free admission” initiative is back, thanks to the Ministry of Culture. All visitors will thus have a new opportunity to get to know the spaces of the VIVE Institute – the Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia, one of the most representative museum heritages in Italy: from the Vittoriano to the Panoramic Terrace, from the Central Museum of the Risorgimento to the National Museum of the Palazzo Venezia and its big garden.
Admission to the single monuments is free and does not require a reservation.
The special program on Sunday, May 1, includes guided tours to Palazzo Venezia and its museum and the visit to The Central Museum of the Risorgimento, a real journey into the memory to tell the single stages of the Risorgimento and biographical profiles of some of its main characters through objects, documents, artworks and relics.
For families with children aged 5 to 12 years, the “VIVE in a map” tour will be available free of charge, as well as “Painting en plein air in the Rediscovered Garden”, a new guided tour with an educational workshop that will allow all participants to experience open-air painting, immersed in the greenery of the Rediscovered Garden of Palazzo Venezia, just like impressionist artists.
Reservations are recommended.
All the details on the individual appointments are available on the Exhibitions and Events page.
