A conference entitled “Marco Polo's Journey in a Jewel, The Narration of Alessio Boschi 700 Years Later” will take place on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Sala del Refettorio in Palazzo Venezia, as part of the fourth edition of Roma Jewelry Week, which will run from Sept. 27 to Oct. 6, 2024.
The initiative, thanks to the collaboration between VIVE, Municipio I Roma Centro and Roma Jewelry Week, will see the designer retrace the stages of an articulated creative process that led to the creation of a Ring, the result of a project that involved more than 30 experts, inspired by the extraordinary journey of Marco Polo, 700 years after his death.
“In the sign of the enhancement of applied arts, the characteristic heritage of the Palazzo Venezia collections, the fruitful collaboration of VIVE with Roma Jewelry Week continues. This year at Palazzo Venezia we will retrace the creative process of a contemporary piece of jewelry inspired by Marco Polo's voyage,” says Edith Gabrielli, Director of VIVE- Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia
This is an opportunity to get to the heart of a project that traverses and interweaves paths of art, history, techniques and mastery, against the backdrop of Marco Polo's incredible voyage that changed the face of the Western world.
