The site of the VIVE - Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia has won the ‘Best use of Photography or Video’ category at the Lovie Awards 2024, a prestigious pan-European award celebrating excellence in digital design. Organised by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) in New York, the Lovie Awards recognise the most innovative digital projects in the fields of culture, technology and business in Europe each year.
On 7 November, the proclamation of the 2024 edition was held in London.
This is a significant achievement that confirms the outstanding role played by VIVE in the European and international cultural landscape, also through its digital communication tools. In 2024, the site registered over 227,000 unique users and contributed to the remarkable results that VIVE has achieved over the last four years.
“The VIVE is committed to handing down a great historical and artistic heritage also by means of up-to-date tools, capable of providing visitors with new and engaging experiences: this is where the search for a high standard of quality in the digital world comes in. The result of this year's Lovie Awards for the use of photography and video material recognises precisely our work in this direction. This award is a source of pride for us and at the same time an encouragement to continue along the path of innovation to tell the story of Italian history and art with increasingly effective languages and tools," says Edith Gabrielli, Director of VIVE - Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia.
With nominations from over 35 countries, VIVE's victory represents best practice in user experience, accessibility and design. This result was possible thanks to the collaboration with the digital agency Vergani&Gasco, responsible for the implementation, and the studio TassinariVetta, which took care of the graphic design. Both realities stand out as Italian excellence in the field of digital communication and cultural design.
