The tour takes visitors to the upper loggia of Pope Paul II’s secret garden, where they can discover the Lapidarium of Palazzo Venezia, located in the cloister of the Palazzetto di San Marco. The Lapidarium showcases 120 marble works, spanning from the classical era to the Renaissance, some of which were unearthed in the early 20th century around Piazza Venezia. Through a hands-on experience, visitors can explore the history of these marbles, their forms, and intricate decorations in a captivating and immersive way. The tour is designed in collaboration with UICI – the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired, reflecting VIVE’s commitment to inclusion and accessibility.
