The Italian Armed Forces Shrine of the Flags inside the Vittoriano will host the Military Order of Italy's traveling exhibition "Virtus et Humanitas" from November 3, 2023 to January 7, 2024.
The exhibition offers a journey through time and a profound reflection on the path Italy has taken toward the hoped-for goals of peacemaking among peoples.
The OMI, represented in the highest degree by the President of the Republic and constituted by the Gruppo Decorati, throughout its history - in 2025 it will celebrate 210 years since its establishment - has come a long way in the historical and political fields, always animated by the same values and virtues that will guide the public.
In the exhibition itinerary, visitors discover people and principles, illuminating different periods and, thanks to graphic installations, directions to search among the ancient values of virtus and humanitas and their more recent declinations, for a new polar star to guide the path of all men and women, uniformed and not, toward ever nobler horizons, for their country and for all people.
The exhibition, sponsored by the OMI Decorated Group, is under the patronage of the Ministry of Defense. The exhibit was curated by Dr. Federica Dal Forno with the contribution of Colonel Gianluca Bonci.
"Virtus et Humanitas" is open to the public daily from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. (last entry 20 minutes before closing).
