Sensory and accessible routes

Polyphony of languages

The museum is an inclusive place, a lively and shared space, open to the diversity of its audiences and the plurality of its languages.
A sensory tour dedicated to the history and collections of Palazzo Venezia invites participants to put themselves in someone else's shoes to experience different ways of approaching artworks and engage with a symphony of languages. The tour moves from understanding the architectural space with the help of typhlo-didactic tools to a tactile exploration of artistic materials. From reading an artwork with one's body to olfactory and auditory experiences suggested by the museum's heritage. From the stories of objects from distant lands and past eras to the multitude of cultures, knowledge, and craftsmanship that Palazzo Venezia collections offer.

VIVE for everyone

Tactile explorations and tours in LIS (Italian Sign Language) accompany students on a journey to discover the cultural heritage of Palazzo Venezia, Vittoriano and Museo  Risorgimento, with the aim of making VIVE accessible to everyone.
This educational proposal offers differentiated tours that allow classes with students with disabilities to have an inclusive museum experience and share knowledge through participatory programs led by museum educators specialized in accessibility and by deaf guides or LIS interpreters.

To arrange accessible tours for visitors with cognitive and sensory disabilities, please contact the educational staff at vi-ve.edu@cultura.gov.it
