New Lecture Series "In the Centre of Rome" at Museo Nazionale Romano

This morning, the program of cultural activities for the Museo Nazionale Romano from June to December 2025 was announced in Hall X of the Terme di Diocleziano. The program was strongly advocated by Alfonsina Russo, Head of the Department for the Enhancement of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and Director of the Parco archeologico del Colosseo, and by Edith Gabrielli, Director of VIVE - Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia and Director ad interim of the Museo Nazionale Romano. It is part of the enhancement agreement signed between the Department, the Museo Nazionale Romano, the Parco archeologico del Colosseo, and VIVE - Vittoriano e Palazzo Venezia.

The programming is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, June 17, at 6:00 PM, with the series "In the Center of Rome", conceived by Edith Gabrielli and organized in collaboration with VIVE. The Museo Nazionale Romano will host three cycles of meetings: dedicated to art collecting, Italian and European literature, and Latin literature. These cycles are curated respectively by Raffaella Morselli, Full Professor of Modern Art History at 'Sapienza' University of Rome, by Gabriele PedullĂ , Full Professor of Italian Literature at Roma Tre University, and by Alessandro Schiesaro, Director of the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. The series opens with a conference by Raffaella Morselli titled "Domenico Fetti e i segreti della pittura," at Palazzo Altemps on Tuesday, June 17, at 6:00 PM.
