Mattarella visits the exhibition “Italian Railways (1861–2025). From national unity to the challenges of the future” at Vittoriano

The President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, today visited a preview of the exhibition “Italian Railways (1861–2025). From national unity to the challenges of the future”, which will open to the public on November 7th at the sites of VIVE – Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia.

He was welcomed by Edith Gabrielli, Director of VIVE and curator of the exhibition, along with Tommaso Tanzilli, Chairman of the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group, and Stefano Antonio Donnarumma, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager.

The Head of State toured the exhibition itinerary, which retraces over a century and a half of Italian railway history through the works of artists and writers who have recounted its role in the construction and transformation of the country.

The exhibition is organized by VIVE – Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia and Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group, marking the 120th anniversary of the Group's foundation.
