From November 29, 2025, to March 8, 2026, the exhibition Giorgione. From Budapest to Rome at Palazzo Barberini offers a unique opportunity to witness an exceptional artistic dialogue between two major works attributed to the master.
The exhibition showcases Giorgione's masterpiece, the Double Portrait which is part of VIVE collection, exceptionally on loan from its usual home at Palazzo Venezia. This painting will be displayed alongside another great work, the Portrait of a Young Man, attributed to the same artist and on loan from the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest.
This extraordinary comparison is made possible through a broad cooperation agreement recently signed between the two institutions.
To celebrate the opening, Palazzo Barberini will offer an extraordinary, free evening opening on November 29, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with the last admission at 10:00 PM.
