Women’s lives in the Renaissance

This guided tour leads the audience through the art, history, and culture of the Renaissance, centered around the painting of La Maddalena, on temporary loan from the Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica di Palazzo Barberini. The masterpiece enters into a dialogue with a selection of Florentine applied arts from state collections and specialized museums. Through paintings, textiles, glassware, ceramics, and furniture, visitors will gain a deeper understanding of the daily lives of women in Renaissance Florence,from birth and education to religious life, from marriage and motherhood to household management and from personal devotion to their activities both inside and outside the domestic sphere, including the rituals of self-care.

This tour costs 5€.
This fee is in addition to the cost of your VIVE entrance ticket.
