Women's life in the Renaissance

A guided tour that leads the public through Renaissance art, history, and culture, centered around the panel painting depicting La Maddalena, on temporary loan from Gallerie Nazionali d'Arte Antica di Palazzo Barberini, in dialogue with a selection of Florentine applied art objects from state collections and specialized museums.
Paintings, artifacts, textiles, glassware, ceramics, and furniture will provide deep insight into the everyday life of women in Renaissance Florence, from birth and education to religious life, from marriage and motherhood to household management, and from devotion to activities inside and outside the home, right through to body care.

This tour costs 5€.
The cost of the tour is in addition to the price of the entrance ticket to VIVE.
We remind you that entrance tickets are free for visitors under 18 and cost only 4€ for those between 18 and 25. To participate in the tour, it is necessary to book and purchase your ticket at least 2 days in advance by clicking here.
You must arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start of the tour.
