The woman in art at Palazzo Venezia

On International Women's Day, the VIVE institute offers all women a special free guided tour, that places at the center of the attention the female world, studying it through the rich collections of Palazzo Venezia. During the tour you will discover the evolvement of the matrimonial sphere to which precious wedding gifts and chests belong, the change of the female image in art   - from the slim figures of Pisanello to the seductive female forms of Maratta, the change of fashion over the centuries - from wooden sculptures to the eighteenth-century pastels.

WHEN: March 8th
TIME: 3:00 pm; 3:45 pm; 4:30 pm; 5:15 pm; 6:00 pm. All tours are held in Italian.
WHERE: Palazzo Venezia
MEETING POINT: via del Plebiscito, n. 118.

For women, the entrance ticket is free and, on the occasion of March 8th, it includes a guided tour to Palazzo Venezia. The same ticket is valid to access all the VIVE monuments for the next seven days.
