A visit to the Archaeology and Art History Library

Guided Tour for Adults

On the occasion of the 2025 European Heritage Days (GEP), an event promoted by the Ministry of Culture, VIVE is offering the public a chance to tour Palazzo Venezia location of the BiASA, the Archaeology and Art History Library, with the educational team. This library holds a cultural heritage of inestimable value. The tour reveals the history behind the creation of this crucial place of knowledge and preservation. It is considered the most important public institution in Italy for the research and study of archaeological, architectural, and art-historical disciplines. Stepping inside the library will allow visitors to immerse themselves in a Renaissance atmosphere, passing through the majestic reading rooms that once housed the private apartment of Pope Paul II, as well as the rooms of the so-called Torre della Biscia.

This visit is free and booking is mandatory.

It is necessary to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the visit at the designated meeting point.
