The activity is designed to encourage a deeper understanding of the monument through direct contact with materials, surfaces and architectural forms, combined with tools for interpreting and contextualising its history and features.
A guide specialising in museum accessibility will engage visitors in a sensory exploration of the spaces and works of the Vittoriano. The itinerary begins at the Art Nouveau-style gate on Piazza Venezia and continues to the base of the equestrian statue of Victor Emmanuel II, offering participants the opportunity to discover the physical characteristics of Botticino marble and the stories represented there. From here, the tour moves on to a spatial exploration of the Piazzale del Bollettino, framed by the curved form of the Sommoportico, before concluding with the exploration of the block of rock from Monte Grappa.
