This activity is designed to foster a deeper understanding of the monument through direct contact with materials, surfaces, and architectural forms, supplemented by tools for interpreting and contextualizing the content.
A guide specializing in museum accessibility engages visitors in sensory explorations of the Vittoriano’s spaces and works of art. The tour begins at the Art Nouveau-style gate on Piazza Venezia, continues to the base of the equestrian statue of Vittorio Emanuele II, where participants discover the physical characteristics of Botticino marble and the stories depicted. From there, visitors gain an understanding of the layout of the Piazzale del Bollettino—bordered by the curved form of the Sommoportico—before exploring the rock block from Monte Grappa.
