An expert guide in museum accessibility leads visitors to discover Palazzo Venezia through a multisensory approach. The tour begins in the garden to identify among the many species the bristling bark of Japanese palms, the sweet scent of magnolia blossoms, and the serrated leaves of acanthus plants. From there it continues with a tactile exploration of the Grand Lodge and the telling of the story of the building's founder, Pope Paul II Barbo. Finally, inside, participants will refine their tactile plantar sense on some of the details of the floors, identify the decorative motifs of the door jambs, and compare the types, textures and textures of different materials used from the Renaissance to the present. The course was also developed in collaboration with the UICI - Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired - to make VIVE increasingly accessible and inclusive.
