Renaissance at Palazzo Venezia

The thousand stories of the VIVE
Guided tour for adults
Saturday 28 September, 7.45 p.m.

Palazzo Venezia is a symbolic place of the Roman Renaissance for its architectural forms inspired by the work of Leon Battista Alberti, for its sculptural and pictorial decorations, such as the frescoes in the Room of the Labours of Hercules, and for the great historical figures that have passed through its doors. The visit is a walk through the Rome of the period and provides an insight into the atmosphere of the historic residence: the collecting passion of Pope Paul II, the popular carnival celebrations, the extraordinary library of Cardinal Domenico Grimani, and the visits of great intellectuals such as Pietro Bembo and Erasmus of Rotterdam.
