Vittoriano was designed by architect Giuseppe Sacconi between 1882 and 1883 in honor of Vittorio Emanuele II, the first king of Italy; however, construction continued until the 1930s. Regarded as the ultimate symbol of a united and independent Italy, Vittoriano quickly became a cornerstone of the nation’s collective identity. Adults and children alike are invited to discover its history, architecture, and art through an animated storytelling experience tailored just for them. Visitors set off on a journey through time, climbing staircases and panoramic terraces to admire the city from above with breathtaking views; finally, they reimagine the places of their exploration by creating illustrated postcards, full of charm and color
