A guided tour that accompanies the public through the discovery of the exhibition La Maddalena di Piero di Cosimo: arte, storia e vite di donne nel Rinascimento fiorentino. The exhibition itinerary revolves around the precious panel painting by Piero di Cosimo La Maddalena, granted on temporary loan by Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica di Palazzo Barberini, and aims to recount the lives of women in Renaissance Florence and the objects of their daily lives. Letters, poems, and account books dialogue with illuminated manuscripts, precious textiles, pottery, glasses and goblets, knives, rings, wedding chests, terracotta altars, jewelry, and jewelry boxes. Objects that do not merely illustrate, but restore the lives of women in the daily reality of Renaissance Florence, from birth and education to religious life, from marriage and motherhood to household management, and from devotion to occupations both inside and outside the domestic environment, up to body care.
