Four Remarkable Women

This educational and interactive activity is designed for families and aims to highlight the role of women in the history of the Italian Risorgimento, exploring the lives and civic engagement of several prominent female figures.

The tour takes place in the exhibition spaces of the Central Museum of the Risorgimento and focuses on the lives and experiences of four remarkable women of the Risorgimento: Giuditta Sidoli Bellerio, Anita Garibaldi, Colomba Antonietti and Jessie White Mario.

Through guided observation and interpretation of photographs, paintings, documents and personal accounts preserved in the museum's collections, participants will discover their stories and the active roles they played in the movements for Italian independence and unification.

At the end of the guided tour, the activity continues with a creative workshop, offering participants an opportunity to explore the themes addressed during the visit and reflect on what they have learnt.
