Four formidable women

The thousand stories of VIVE
Guided tour with workshop for families
Sunday, August 30, 2026, 4:00 PM

The initiative offers an educational and participatory route for families aimed at highlighting the role of women in the historical process of the Italian Risorgimento, told through the biographical stories and civic commitment of several prominent female figures.
The tour takes place within the exhibition spaces of Museo Centrale del Risorgimento and focuses on telling the lives and experiences of four key heroines of the Risorgimento era: Giuditta Sidoli Bellerio, Anita Garibaldi, Colomba Antonietti, and Jessie White Mario. Through the observation and guided reading of photographs, paintings, documents, and personal memoirs preserved in the museum collections, participants will be led through a discovery of their stories and their active roles in the movements for Italian independence and unification.
At the end of the tour, the activity continues with a creative workshop aimed at reflecting on the themes discussed and reimagining the contents explored.
