Four extraordinary women

The thousand stories of VIVE
Guided tour with a workshop for families
Sunday, July 26, 2026, 4:00 PM

The initiative offers an educational and participatory itinerary aimed at families, focusing on highlighting the role of women in the historical process of the Italian Risorgimento through the narration of the biographies and civil commitment of some prominent female figures.
The itinerary develops within the exhibition spaces of Museo Centrale del Risorgimento and focuses on the stories of the lives and experiences of four protagonists of the Risorgimento era: Giuditta Sidoli Bellerio, Anita Garibaldi, Colomba Antonietti, and Jessie White Mario. Through the observation and guided analysis of photographs, paintings, documents, and personal memoirs preserved in the museum collections, participants will be accompanied on a discovery of their individual stories and their active role in the movements for Italian independence and unification.
At the end of the tour, the activity continues with a creative workshop aimed at reworking the content and reflecting on the themes addressed. Participants will be invited to create a written description or a graphic representation of a contemporary female figure who, in the present day, stands out for her exemplary, innovative, or significant role in society.
