Guided tour for adults
Sunday, August 9, 2026, 5:00 PM

A visit to the Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, or Vittoriano, represents an unmissable experience for anyone wishing to delve into Italian history and art. Conceived in January 1878 in honor of the first king of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II, and the entire Risorgimento process, the complex has hosted the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and other memories of Italian history since 1921.
Participants cross the threshold through the monumental iron gates on Piazza Venezia, ascend to the Altar of the Fatherland and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, admire the equestrian statue of Vittorio Emanuele II, and finally stand in awe before the majestic scale of Piazzale del Bollettino and the Sommoportico.

LOCATION: Vittoriano entrance, Ara Coeli side
