Discovering Palazzo Venezia

The thousand stories of VIVE
Guided tour for adults
Sunday, July 26, 2026, 5:00 PM

For many centuries the residence of popes, cardinals, ambassadors, and artists, Palazzo Venezia is an ancient and majestic Renaissance dwelling in the heart of Rome. Few buildings in the city, perhaps none at all, encapsulate such a rich heritage of history, art, and culture. Thanks to the narration of our guides, the severe and imposing facades, like the walls of an ancient fortress, open up to reveal a complex of loggias, walkways, and gardens with precious plants and botanicals, halls, and masterpieces ranging from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century. Visitors are thus whisked away from the car traffic and led along the thin line of a delicate balance between dreams and admiration.
The tour guides the public through an itinerary that allows them to interpret the palace not only as an extraordinary container of artworks but also as a living document of the transformations that have affected Rome from the Renaissance to the contemporary era.

LOCATION: Palazzo Venezia, entrance of Palazzo Venezia, via del Plebiscito, 118
