Conquering the Rock of Monte Grappa!

The Thousand Stories of VIVE
Guided tour with workshop for families
Sunday, June 15, 2025, 4:00 PM

Where will the wide staircases of this grand, white monument lead? Visitors will embark on a treasure hunt designed as a climb up the Vittoriano: the path, from the entrance gate to the Piazzale del Bollettino, will be marked by riddles, clues, and crossword puzzles to enhance spatial orientation, observation skills, and to make this unique place feel more familiar.

The equestrian statue of Victor Emmanuel II will become a visual reference point, drawing attention to architectural elements and details of the sculptural decoration. Through this game, participants will learn key information about the monument in bite-sized pieces. Identifying the rock from Mount Grappa will lead to the delivery of the final piece of a mosaic, where children will reassemble a photo of Victor Emmanuel II's equestrian monument. Afterward, each child will receive an outline drawing of only the horse and king, which they can then enrich with details and color.

LOCATION: Vittoriano, Ara Coeli side entrance
