In the Centre of Rome: from Palazzo Venezia to the Vittoriano

The Thousand Stories of VIVE
- Monday 1 May, 11 a.m.

VIVE is located in the exact centre of Rome and unites the two most iconic buildings of Piazza Venezia. The route starts from Palazzo Venezia, a majestic Renaissance residence that over the centuries has hosted cardinals, popes and ambassadors, its gardens, loggias, monumental halls and rich art collections. It then continues with the Vittoriano, the monument to the first king of Italy, Victor Emmanuel II, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Here the visitor has the opportunity to appreciate the architectural quality of the project by Giuseppe Sacconi and the great Italian sculptors between the 19th and 20th centuries, to dwell on the memories of the country's history and climb up to the Panoramic Terrace to enjoy the most spectacular 360° view of Rome and its millenary urban fabric.
