At the center of Rome: from Palazzo Venezia to the Vittoriano

The thousand stories of the LIVE
Guided tour for adults in Italian
Sunday, October 13, 2024, 11 a.m.

VIVE stands in the center of Rome and brings together the two most iconic buildings in Piazza Venezia. The tour starts from Palazzo Venezia, a majestic Renaissance residence that over the centuries has hosted cardinals, popes and ambassadors, its gardens, loggias, monumental halls and rich art collections, and continues with the Vittoriano, a monument to the first king of Italy, Victor Emmanuel II and guardian of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Here visitors are able to appreciate the architectural quality of the design by Giuseppe Sacconi and the great Italian sculptors between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, pause in front of the memories of the country's history, and climb up to the Panoramic Terrace to enjoy the most spectacular view of Rome and its millennial urban fabric.
