The VIVE Institute, guided by Edith Gabrielli, adheres to the European Night of Museums 2022, an initiative scheduled for Saturday, May 14, with extraordinary openings of its monuments at a cost of 1 euro.
The Vittoriano, including the Panoramic Terrace, and Palazzo Venezia will extend their opening hours from 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm and enrich the program of their activities with an aim to reveal the stories and artworks of the two monuments.
Three masterpieces in 30 minutes. From Giorgione to eighteenth-century pastels, the portrait in art at Palazzo Venezia.
By choosing three paintings from the rich collection of the picture gallery of Palazzo Venezia, an unusual story of the portrait in modern art will be told, which from the formality of the official image will lead to the social life of the protagonists of the court in the eighteenth century, passing through an extraordinary novelty of the representation of affections in The two friends of Giorgione, one of the masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance.
The visit will last 30 minutes and will be repeated at 3 different hours: at 7.45 pm, at 8.30 pm and at 9.15 pm.
From Giardino to Lapidarium: the strange story of the Palazzetto Venezia.
The tour will take visitors to the Palazzetto, a place that remains hidden from outside and still unknown to most of the public, and will retrace its intense events: from a beautiful Renaissance garden to its incredible displacement a century ago.
The visit will last 30 minutes and will be repeated at 3 different hours: at 8:15 pm, at 9:00 pm and at 9:30 pm.
VIVE under the stars!
Families with children will have the chance to live an unusual experience of an animated guided tour under the stars to discover Palazzo Venezia and the Vittoriano. The participants, just like real explorers, equipped with a map, a torch and a compass, will make a journey through time crossing more than five hundred years of history, exploring distant cities, from Venice to Salzburg, from Vienna to Rome, discovering the treasures and secrets of VIVE, following the traces of artists, musicians, philosophers and directors. The last stop of the tour will be made at the Panoramic Terrace where, under the starry sky, among the winged Victories and the lights, participants will be able to look at Rome from above and capture the skyline of the Eternal City to be kept as a memory of the experience they had lived.
The visit will last 2 hours (7:30 pm - 9:30 pm and 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm)
The meeting point for the tours is in via del Plebiscito, n. 118
