Altar of the Fatherland: special tour of the restoration site on Sunday, August 27

The Altar of the Fatherland restoration site has been underway at the Vittoriano since April.

The site is an "open construction site": citizens and tourists have the opportunity to observe the workers live and to climb on the scaffolding thanks to special guided tours. 

The next tour is scheduled for Sunday, August 27, at 11 a.m.: visitors can appreciate the work of the restorers and the precious details of Zanelli's sculptural work up close, particularly the majestic statue of the Goddess Rome.
