Vittoriano
The Altar of the Fatherland restoration site has been underway at the Vittoriano since April.
The site is an "open construction site": citizens and tourists have the opportunity to observe the workers live and to climb on the scaffolding thanks to special guided tours.
The last tour, before the end of restoration activities, is scheduled for Sunday, September 10, at 11.00 a.m.: visitors can appreciate the work of the restorers and the precious details of Zanelli's sculptural work up close, particularly the majestic statue of the Goddess Rome.
