The exhibition displays 57 pieces, including 44 catalogued and restored ones from the Plaster Cast Gallery of the Altar of the Fatherland, a legacy virtually unknown until a few months ago.
Significant material is on loan from museums and Italian collectors, a prominent role being played in this sense by collaboration with the Fondazione Brescia Musei which conserves a considerable amount of documentary and artistic material linked to Zanelli, his wife and friends from two bequests in 1985 and 2005. The Fondazione has loaned a substantial number of works, a mixture of drawings, models and finished works, including a precious silver version of the Goddess Rome dating from 1925.
