Week 18. A new phase of the restoration site begins

After eighteen weeks, restoration operations involving the side portions of the Altar of the Fatherland frieze have been completed.

Scaffolding was then removed and subsequently erected at the central section of the monument, to the right of the Goddess Rome. This is in fact the area where restorers will work in the coming weeks.Following the disassembly of the scaffolding, restorers were also able to proceed with the final touches on the newly restored frieze.
