VIVE Director Edith Gabrielli brought her greetings to the opening of the Air Force Centennial exhibition, "The History, Capabilities and Traditions of the Air Force in its First 100 Years," created and promoted by Aeronautica Militare, under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic.
Present at the event were Defense Chief of Staff Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, Air Force Chief of Staff Air Squadron General Luca Goretti, Brigadier General Giuseppe Di Giovanni Randife Commander, Director of the Shrine of Flags Colonel Attilio Cortone, and exhibition curator Chief Inspector General (ric) Basilio Di Martino.
The history, capabilities and traditions of the Air Force in its first 100 years are the main theme of the traveling exhibition that will touch the entire peninsula, through a dedicated iconographic route. The exhibition, hosted at the Vittoriano in the Shrine of Flags, aims to bring the Air Force, its history and values closer to the territory and citizens.
Visitors to the Vittoriano will have free access to the exhibition from March 24 to April 23. The exhibition will be open Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to noon and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and holidays afternoon hours are extended until 6 p.m. Public entry is allowed until 20 minutes before closing time.
After Rome, the exhibition "The History, Capabilities and Traditions of the Air Force in its First 100 Years" will reach Florence, Bari, Cagliari, Palermo, Caserta, Parma, Treviso, Milan, Ferrara, Viterbo, Lecce and other cities such as Orbetello, Trento, Milan (Museo Volandia), Foligno, Lucca, Genoa, Turin, Urbino, and Lugo di Romagna.
