Guided tours in LIS
A symbol of united and independent Italy, the Vittoriano soon became a pivotal place in the nation's collective imaginary. As such, it has been chosen for countless films and television programs. The visit, an integral part of an educational proposal designed especially for families and children, allows them to explore together the monument's evocative spaces, retrace its history and discover similarities or differences with the art and architecture of the past. As in a puzzle, participants will be able to graphically rework the iconic image of the Vittoriano, inspired by the vision of artists and architects
A journey to learn about the life and challenges of some of the protagonists of the Risorgimento, the Kingdom of Italy and the Republic, from Mazzini and Garibaldi to the cuirassiers. Engaging narration will accompany us through the rooms of the Central Museum of the Risorgimento and inside the Vittoriano, to discover the colours, symbols and curiosities related to the uniforms of those who, over time, have defended and still defend our homeland. A very particular history of costume, which intertwines history, popular mythology and ideals on which we should still reflect today. Thanks to dedicated educational support, we will reinvent original uniforms for famous characters.
Porcelain, silverware, majolica, bronze statuettes, the Sala del Mappamondo, an armoury and even a sea monster: the spaces of the Museum of Palazzo Venezia, like many cabinets of curiosities, contain applied art objects from all over the world. A journey to discover that each collection is often the mirror of the collector's tastes but also of an era, a mentality and a common feeling, yesterday as today. Together we will create our own personal collections, where we will decide what to keep, what to add and how to set it up in the space.
A special itinerary dedicated to discovering Palazzo Venezia through lively narration in the rooms of the museum. On this journey through time, we’ll explore gardens, loggias and monumental halls, we’ll imagine life in the palace over the centuries through art, music and literature and, like travellers from other ages, we’ll even create colourful illustrated postcards in which to reinvent the environments we’ve explored.
