On Thursday, September 21, the new "Prevention is our Masterpiece" campaign was presented at the Ministry of Culture in Rome.
MiC and Komen Italia join forces once again to protect women's health by organizing important information and awareness-raising initiatives useful for keeping attention on breast cancer.
For years, this commitment has been shared by the Ministry, which has created the "Prevention is our Masterpiece" campaign with Komen to tie together the themes of art and care. Thanks to the Ministry of Culture, the campaign has featured a different work of art each year: Botticelli's Venus, Raphael's Fornarina, Luca della Robbia's Portrait of a Maiden, and this year's Venus Callipigia, a 2nd-century marble sculpture on display at the National Archaeological Museum of Naples.
The VIVE - Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia, directed by Edith Gabrielli, hosted the "Carovana della ricerca" and supported Race for the Cure and supports this further excellent initiative dedicated to the protection of health: in fact, next October it is among the museums that will allow free access to those who choose to support the activities of Komen Italia with a donation at www.prevenzione.komen.it.
The prestigious institutional campaign, which this year will continue until May 2024 to best celebrate the 25th Race for the Cure in Rome, will also include the pink lighting of various Italian monuments in a relay of awareness that will gradually spread throughout the country.
