Tactile Experience at Vittoriano

Art and history for everyone
Tactile Tour for Families
Saturday, 8 November, 10.30 AM

An expert guide in museum accessibility engages visitors in sensory explorations of the spaces and works of the Vittoriano. The tour starts at the Art Nouveau gate on Piazza Venezia and continues to the base of the equestrian statue of Victor Emmanuel II, to discover the physical characteristics of the Botticino marble and the stories represented. From here, visitors gain a spatial understanding of Piazzale del Bollettino, defined by the curvilinear shape of Sommoportico, leading to the exploration of the rock block from Monte Grappa. The tour was also developed in collaboration with UICI – Italian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted, to make VIVE increasingly accessible and inclusive.

LOCATION: Vittoriano entrance, Ara Coeli side
