Palazzo Venezia: art and architecture from the 15th to the 20th century

Guided tour on weekends in Italian and in English

Palazzo Venezia, once cardinals and papal residence, is now one of the crucial monuments in the history of the architecture of Rome. Although similar to a medieval fortress in its externals, the palace reveals the flourishing taste of the Renaissance and, in many elements, the influence of the ancient art. During the tour you will visit all the apartments, monumental halls and museum collections of Palazza Venezia. You will admire the frescoes and marble decorations of the '400-'500, as well as the twentieth-century renovations, such as the staircases, the floors, the ceilings and the chandeliers.
