A unique opportunity to enter one of the most important restoration sites underway in Rome: that of the Monumental Halls on the first floor of Palazzo Venezia, namely Sala del Mappamondo, Sala delle Battaglie, and Sala Regia, built by Pope Paul II during the Renaissance and the theater over the centuries of historical and cultural events of great importance, in some cases truly extraordinary. You will be able to climb the scaffolding, see the decorations of the ceilings and walls up close, and learn from the living voice of the restorers the phenomena of degradation that threaten them and the solutions put in place to stop them, from the consolidation of the support to the cleaning of the surfaces up to the reintegration of the gaps.
