Artistic techniques: Bronze masters in Rome

How is a bronze sculpture made? What are the ancient techniques used to craft it? This special program, dedicated to passing down artistic traditions and practices from the past, will answer these questions and many more. Starting with the bronze masterpieces in the Palazzo Venezia collections, participants will discover what lies behind the creation of a work of art and explore the rich heritage of knowledge and skills of the master bronze-smiths. In the workshop, children will learn about the different properties and processing methods of metals and get hands-on experience with the embossing (repoussé) technique.

This tour costs 5€.
