VIVE renews appointment with special evening openings at the Vittoriano

Starting July 5, including the Panoramic Terrace, extended opening until 11:30 p.m. (last entry at 10:45 p.m.)

The appointment with the evening openings of the Vittoriano is back. The initiative is part of the wide cultural proposal of the VIVE-Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia, a place increasingly inclusive towards visitors and the community. A unique opportunity for citizens and tourists to be able to admire a heritage of absolute artistic and cultural importance in the evocative Roman summer evenings.

Every Friday, starting July 5 through Sept. 13 (except Aug. 16) and on Saturdays, July 6, Sept. 7 and Sept. 14, the Vittoriano, including the Panoramic Terrace, will extend its opening until 11:30 p.m., with last admission at 10:45 p.m.

With reference to last year's evening openings, the hours have been further expanded with a view to ensuring greater enjoyment of the Institute and its spaces beyond the usual visiting occasions.

Complementing the activities are high-level initiatives under the banner of accessibility and inclusion, organized by VIVE's educational team, which are dedicated to a wide and diverse audience:

- Workshops for children and families, such as "Postcards in the Moonlight," in which the little ones will be guided to discover the Vittoriano through "tailor-made" animated storytelling;
- "Vittoriano under the Stars," to explore the famous monument equipped with a map, flashlight and compass;
- Guided tours entitled "The Vittoriano and movie stars," in which to delve into the relationships between art, literature and cinema that feature the Vittoriano;
- "An Evening at the Vittoriano" dedicated to delving into its main artistic-architectural emergencies. The different itineraries conclude with a visit to the Panoramic Terrace from which the public can enjoy a unique view of the city of Rome.

The evening program is complemented by a full schedule of daytime educational initiatives, scheduled on Saturday days at both the Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia, all entrusted by VIVE to Opera Laboratori Fiorentini.
