New extraordinary openings of the Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia

From 2 September a full programme of evening activities and guided tours for adults and children

Starting on 2 September, the VIVE Institute renews the appointment with extraordinary evening openings of its monuments: on Fridays in September, the Vittoriano, including the Panoramic Terrace, will extend its opening hours from 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm, with last admission at 9.45 pm. On the last Friday of the month, Palazzo Venezia will also observe the same extraordinary opening hours.

On these occasions, the public of all ages will once again be able to enjoy an evening program of guided tours and educational activities included in the entrance ticket and designed for the citizens of Rome who want to experience cultural opportunities in their city during the summer months and for tourists visiting the capital.

On 2, 9, 16, 23 and, exceptionally, Saturday 24 September, on the occasion of the European Heritage Days, for families with children from 5 to 12 years old, the appointment with VIVE under the stars returns: the special program of theatrical tours and exploratory walks included in the entrance ticket, among the wonders and secrets of the monuments of the VIVE Institute, following the footsteps of artists, musicians, philosophers, and filmmakers. From 7.30 p.m, the different routes will wind their way among the palm trees, statues, ancient works and the elegant halls of Palazzo Venezia and its garden, up to the Panoramic Terrace of the Vittoriano, where, among the winged Victories, the starry sky and the lights, visitors will be able to admire Rome from above and capture a unique image of the eternal city, to be treasured as a memory of the experience.

On 23 and 24 September, from 7.30 p.m., it will also be possible to take part in the guided tour Una sera a Palazzo (“One evening at the Palace”). Seven tours for seven themes, short visits to offer a glimpse of the many faces of Palazzo Venezia and a travel through time, from the conspiracy against Paul II to the court banquets to the masked balls in the salons, walking through the rooms illuminated by the majestic chandeliers or among the arches of the Viridarium in the moonlight.
