The meeting Cavour and the Power of the Written Word was held at Palazzo Venezia as part of the Dialogues on the Risorgimento cycle, the result of the collaboration between VIVE, the Institute for the History of the Italian Risorgimento and the Rome Committee of the same Institute.

On Wednesday 30 October, the Sala del Refettorio in Palazzo Venezia hosted the meeting Cavour and the Power of the Written Word, on the occasion of the publication of Rosanna Roccia's book Camillo Cavour. Dettagli in controuce, as part of the Dialoghi sul Risorgimento cycle, the result of the collaboration between VIVE, the Institute for the History of the Italian Risorgimento and the Rome Committee of the same Institute.

The meeting was opened by the greetings of the Director of the VIVE, Edith Gabrielli, and the Director of the Rome Committee of the Institute for the History of the Italian Risorgimento, Francesco Guida.

The conference was followed by author Rosanna Roccia, who presented an in-depth examination of the sources of Cavour's biography and epistolary, and historians Antonio D'Alessandri, Pierangelo Gentile and Giuseppe Monsagrati. Closing the discussion were the remarks of Professor Emeritus of Modern History Guido Pescosolido.
