Workshops

The workshop explores the relationship between art and power, focusing on the Vittoriano as an example of the construction of national identity in the modern era. Students are guided in reflecting on how public art can convey values, ideologies and historical narratives through an analysis of the complex’s allegorical language, monumentality and commemorative function.

This is followed by a group workshop in which students design a contemporary monument to memory, choosing a current theme—such as rights, peace, migration or the environment—and translating it into visual symbols.
