What was Rome like eight hundred years ago? Who governed it? How many inhabitants did it have? Who were the artists who decorated its palaces and churches? And where did they come from? If you want to know the answers to these and other questions, this experience is for you. During the exhibition at the Vittoriano devoted to a masterpiece of medieval art, we will take you back in time to learn what the city looked like in the early 13th century. Thanks to the immersive mode, you can enter and sit, just like an inhabitant of the time, in the ancient basilica of St. Peter, see its artworks and understand how they were made, from mosaics to the most precious gilded bronze decorations.
