For many centuries the residence of popes, cardinals, ambassadors and artists, Palazzo Venezia is an ancient and majestic Renaissance residence, in the heart of Rome. Few buildings in the city, perhaps even none, contain such a heritage of history, art and culture. The visit in Italian Sign Language, conducted by a specialised deaf educator, opens up the severe and imposing façades, resembling the walls of an ancient fortress, to reveal inside a series of loggias, walkways and gardens, with precious plants and shrubs, rooms so large as to take your breath away, and masterpieces from the Middle Ages to the beginning of the 20th century.
The visitor is far away from the traffic of cars and led along the thread of a subtle balance between dream and admiration.
