The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the memories of the Great War in the Vittoriano

Guided tour of the Vittoriano and the Central Museum of the Risorgimento 

The journey will start at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Altar of the Fatherland. The second stop will be for the Piazzale del Bollettino: here will be displayed the epigraph of the document that General Armando Diaz, supreme commander of the Royal Italian Army, signed on November 4, 1918 to announce Italy's victory in World War I, a block of rock from Monte Grappa, in memory of the First Battle of the Piave, a heroic episode of World War I. The tour will end at the Central Museum of the Risorgimento where the cannon shaft on which the coffin of the Unknown Soldier was carried is preserved.

Information and reservations

On Friday 4 and Saturday 5 November, our family-oriented activities are included in the admission ticket, subject to availability. On Sunday 6, on the first Sunday of the month, activities are free of charge.
